Orienteering

May 29, 2017

We had a fantastic time competing in the Inter school orienteering competition in the beautiful grounds of Canford school and run by Wimborne Orienteers.

We had four teams entered and they had 45 minutes to find as many checkpoints as they could and get back inside the time.

It turned out to be very competitive and having a strategy paid off with Hugo Bielecki coming first completing the course with 290 Points and in a super time of 26.09

and following just 14 seconds later in 2nd place was Ned Simmonds with also a score of 290 points with a time 26.23. Both Hugo and Ned were awarded medals and Swedish orienteering socks as their prize. Third place was a very close battle between Freddie Williams and Samson Bailey both scoring 235 points however Samson was 20 seconds quicker overall.

Everyone had a great time and worked really hard, we look forward to competing in the Dorset school games round in May.
