Performing and Creative Arts

Welcome to the Performing and Creative Arts faculty at Queen Elizabeth’s School. We are a vibrant, enthusiastic and energetic faculty which has creative excellence as our goal. We are really proud of our Artsmark Platinum status awarded to us by the Arts Council in October 2017 in recognition of the Arts’ provision we deliver to our students; never resting on past successes, we continue to strive to ensure that the Arts are thriving within our faculty, across the whole school and into the local and national community.

Whatever area of the curriculum studied, our students are able to access it at their own level and are supported to develop in their chosen specialism, whether it is in Art, Drama, Media or Music.

The teaching team is comprised of nine outstanding professionals, highly experienced in their own areas and often practicing artists beyond school themselves.  Supporting the faculty’s teachers in delivery of engaging and inspiring lessons are our facilities: designated rooms and spaces with up-to-date equipment and top spec technology which we and the students use.  We afford students with the best in every respect in order to achieve the best, and we achieve outstanding results across all subjects and all Key Stages.

Extra-curricular projects, exhibitions, concerts, trips and clubs are part of the success of our faculty and the success of our students.

We have very high expectations of our pupils and strive to help each one to achieve their personal best, working closely with parents and arts organisations to enable our students to achieve the highest possible standards.
